What this policy covers
This policy describes what the honeymee.com website collects when you use it, why, and who else handles it. It covers this website only. It does not cover what happens in our stores, or what a third-party ordering service collects when you follow an ordering link from our Locations page — those services have their own policies.
Information you give us
Contact form. When you send us a message we collect the name, email address and message you type. We use them only to read your message and reply to you. The message is delivered to our team by email and is not stored in a database on this website.
Franchise inquiry form. When you send a franchise inquiry we collect your name, email address, phone number, preferred city or market, estimated investment capital, whether you have a retail site, whether you have retail or restaurant management experience, and any notes you add. We use them only to review your inquiry and follow up with you. The inquiry is delivered to our team by email and is not stored in a database on this website.
Newsletter signup. When you sign up in the footer we collect your email address, and nothing else. We use it only to send you occasional email about new flavors, new stores and seasonal specials.
Information collected automatically
Our server records a short technical log entry for each form submission: the time, which form it was, and whether it succeeded. These entries never contain your name, your email address or your message.
When you submit a form, your IP address is used in memory for a few minutes to limit how many submissions can come from one place. It is not written to a database and is not used to identify you.
Visit counts. We count visits with Umami, an analytics tool that runs on our own server rather than a third party's. For each page you view it records the page, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and an approximate location (country, region and city) worked out from your IP address. It also records when someone uses an ordering or directions link, or successfully sends one of our forms — that a form was sent, never what was in it.
Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Your IP address and browser details are turned into a one-way code that changes every month, so we can tell how many different people visited without being able to identify any of them; the IP address itself is not stored. Because it cannot identify you, this counting runs for every visitor, whatever you choose in the cookie notice.
Cookies, storage and your choices
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies only if you accept them in the cookie notice:
Google Analytics (the “Analytics” choice). Sets cookies so we can see how people find and use the site, including when they come back. Google receives the pages you view, how you arrived, your browser and device, and your IP address, which it uses for an approximate location. Google’s advertising features are switched off.
Microsoft Clarity (the “Analytics” choice). Records how you move through each page, such as where you scroll and click, so we can replay visits and see where a page is confusing. Anything you type into our forms is hidden from these recordings. Microsoft receives the pages you view, your browser and device, and your IP address, which it uses for an approximate location. Its advertising use is switched off. Until you answer the cookie notice, Clarity runs without cookies, so each page you view is recorded on its own and is not linked to the next. If you accept, it sets cookies that link your pages and visits. If you choose “Essential only”, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Clarity does not run.
Two things are saved in your own browser, on your own device, and are never sent to us: the display settings you pick under “Display settings” in the footer (text size, contrast, reading aids), and your answer to the cookie notice. Clearing your browser data removes both.
You can review or change your answer at any time using “Privacy choices” in the footer. Apart from Clarity’s cookieless recording described above, nothing in the Analytics or Advertising choices loads until you accept it; we will not set their cookies on the strength of silence. If you later switch one off, the cookies it set are deleted and it stops loading. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no to both.
Who else handles your information
Resend. Contact messages are delivered, and newsletter addresses are stored, by Resend, our email provider. They process this information on our behalf so we can receive your message or send you email.
Videos on this site are served by this website itself — there is no embedded third-party player, and watching a video contacts no one but our server.
Google Maps. Our directions and ordering links are ordinary outbound links. Following one takes you to that company's service, under its own policy.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Contact messages stay in our email inbox as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and keep a record of it.
Newsletter addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, which removes your address from the list.
To ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it, contact us through the contact form and tell us what you would like us to do.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles your information, we will update this page and change the date shown above.
